PUSHING FORWARD - THE FULL BAND DEBUT

We recently made our LIVE, ROCK N ROLL, FULL BAND debut at The Palace in South Philly, and god damn was it a good time. The first proper show was something I’ve been dreaming of for many years and it blew away even my expectations.

Just one week removed from performing at Firefly Music Festival in another band, and 3 days away from heading out to LA to start working on a new EP, the chaos in my life was real. On top of that I was battling a gnarly head cold, but that seems to be the LA Parties way at this point - pushing forward through less than ideal circumstances, and I have come to embrace it.

This was just my 7th show in any band, on any instrument ever, and my first as a lead singer. Through college I was always told I should be playing live to get experience. But after playing a stage as massive as Firefly and then the first LA Parties show in the same week (as my 6th and 7th shows respectively), I can say this - no one’s advice is bible. You know what you’re capable of and when you’re confident enough to go for it. And don’t forget to count your W’s as you go.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the first gig and made it so memorable. The standard has been set for LA Parties gigs, and it’s pretty high. If you didn’t make it, check out the video above, and we’ll see you at the next one.

Thanks for being here <3
